Looking for a bulb that has a bright lighting output? Then consider checking LEDs and HID light bulbs. Both options offer two of the brightest light outputs compared to other types of lights in the market. They’re also available in most hardware stores so you won’t have a hard time finding them. Making a choice between these two bulbs can be tricky especially when you don’t know a lot of info about them. Here’s a rundown on the differences between these bulbs so it’ll be easier for you to choose.

HID Light Bulbs HID bulbs or high-intensity discharge bulbs are often used in head, spot, and emergency lights. You can also see these bulbs being used in the headlights of cars and trucks. These bulbs come as regular light bulbs that you can install at home and they’re perfect for outdoor areas or big spaces. They give off a very cool light, which makes them great for productivity. These bulbs use tungsten electrodes to light up.

LED Light Bulbs LED lights or light-emitting diode have been around for some time. They’re often made from plastic and produce less excess heat compared to other bulbs. This is because they don’t contain a filament and uses a chemical reaction to produce its light. Another feature that makes these light different from other bulbs is that they use very little power to produce a bright light output.

Which to get? It really depends on what and where the light will be used for. If it’s for a large area, like your yard, ally, or even a closed big space like a gym, then you might want to get a HID bulb. However, for indoor lighting or when you want to have more options when it comes to light tone and color, LED lights are the thing for you.
