What Can you Do with Old Lamps?
If you’re planning to renovate your home and give it a new look, you might find yourself wondering what you’ll be doing with your old furniture, especially with light fixtures. Let’s just say you already bought a new set of energy friendly bulbs, so you’re stuck with your old light fixtures and you don’t know what to do with them. Below are a few tips to help on what you can do to your old lamps
Give Them Away Give these bulbs away to people who need them more. Or better yet, start a garage sale and set up all your old things for sale. You get to earn a few dollars to make up for your renovation cost, and someone’s going to give your old things a new home. After all, one man’s trash could be another man’s treasure, so round up your things and get some tags ready.
Refurbish Them Give your old lamps a new look by refurbishing them. Add new LED bulbs, repaint them with a much bolder color, add some details to the cover, be creative and use your imagination. You might have a space in your house that could use another lamp. One way to make this activity more interesting is to let the kids decorate the light bulbs for you. They’ll have fun with it and you can place their creations in their room as a night light.
Recycle Take the lamp apart and use the individual pieces for something else. You can use the body as a stand or a table centerpiece, the lampshade as a basket or a container, there are a lot of things you can make with and use them for. Dissect it and don’t look at is as just a lamp. For comments and questions, feel free to contact our customer support hotline.
